BE A PETALUMA RIVER DOCENT!

Do you enjoy being outside, connecting to nature, history and the Petaluma River! Come share that joy with others and be a Petaluma River Docent. Docents receive 10 hours of training about the Petaluma River, its ecology, history, culture and habitats and help to interpret these aspects for visiting public. We ask that docents make a commitment of at least 4 hours a week at Steamer Landing Park and the David Yearsley River Heritage Center.

Docent tasks include:

  • Opening the David Yearsley River Heritage Center to the public
  • Stewardship of habitat at Steamer Landing Park
  • Upkeep of equipment and displays at the Center
  • Interacting with Park visitors

Contact Stephanie Bastianon at stephanie@friendsofthepetalumariver.org or (707) 548-2937 if you are interested in being a Docent.
