Be a part of the solution to River pollution – Adopt a Creek in your neighborhood!

Friends is looking for groups, businesses, families, or schools that would like to join our newest program to help keep our Petaluma River clean. Adopters will, with Friends’ support, spearhead creek cleanups, habitat improvement projects and help monitor conditions in their creeks.

This is a year-long commitment with a total of 4 work days planned seasonally to support the changing needs of the creek and your group. Activities include, but aren’t limited to: trash removal, invasive plant removal, planting and tending of native plants, water quality testing, plant and animal counts and creek surveys.

We’ll work with you at each visit to make sure you have the supplies, expertise and staff support to have a successful day of stewardship.

Adopters will also receive recognition for their efforts on our website, through social media and at the creek.
