The Fall River Cleanup is held in conjunction with California Coastal Cleanup Day. With 80% of pollution in our oceans coming from inland waterways, it is critical that we remove trash before it reaches our coast.

Volunteers will enjoy a BBQ with live music, a raffle, and info from our partners at the Sonoma Resource Conservation District and activities for kids with Friends’ summer camp staff.

What to expect: We’ll gather in the morning at Steamer Landing Park where you will get your supplies and meet with your site group. We’ll give an orientation and safety guidelines before sending you out to one of 10-15 sites in the watershed. Volunteers should wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirty and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Please bring your own water bottle. We will have water to fill your containers as well as snacks in the morning and a hearty BBQ in the afternoon.
