Friends is stepping up efforts to keep our local waterways clean with ongoing creek cleanups throughout the year. With support from Sonoma Water and in partnership with the City of Petaluma, Friends is hosting small creek cleanups that can help target the neediest areas in our Watershed.

Sign up below to join an upcoming cleanup.

We are keeping these groups small in order to comply with CDC and County COVID-19 regulations and keep our volunteers safe. Please wear a face covering and maintain social distancing when volunteering at a creek cleanup.

What to bring & expect: Please bring your own water bottle, gloves if you have them, and wear sturdy shoes and clothes that can get dirty. We’ll go over some safety guidelines in the morning and distribute supplies and then spend a couple hours tending to our creeks. Some areas may have debris from abandoned encampments. Please let our staff know if you are planning to have young children attend – some areas will be better for this than others.

Once you have signed up, you will receive an email with further details regarding a meeting place and parking.
