Friends of the Petaluma River is excited to pilot an after school program beginning in Winter 2020.
Friends Flickers- Nature Connection Program will take place on Wednesdays at McNear Elementary school from 12:45-2:45.
Session 1 Dates: 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19
Cost per Student: $150.00 / Siblings receive 10% discount
Mission: To support the engagement of youth in their environment through play, curiosity, exploration and creativity while giving them the tools they need to find solutions to environmental problems.
Offerings will include:
- Nature-based play, games, crafting, creek exploration
We aim to get kids outside and support them to have active engagement in their environment through play, curiosity and exploration. By gaining a sense of place, youth will have a better knowledge of their local flora and fauna and how they impact their environment.
